Mains Hissing - 16.0.2 with Mackie Thump 15A

I have a Presonus 16.0.2 and just added new mains, Mackie Thump 15A 1300 watt powered speakers. In order to hear the output I have to turn the gain way up on the speakers and then they are hissing.

I am way out of my element here. My 13 year old son is in a band that has taken off and they are gigging a lot. Trying to figure this all out the best I can. Any advice would be appreciated, and also if you know of any good tutorials or training it would be appreciated. I can fake it pretty well adjusting the gain, faders and monitors. Need to learn how to run the GEQ on the fat channel. See it almost sounds like I know what I'm talking about!

Thanks!

There is a level knob next to the XLR outputs of your 16.0.2 The knob needs to be turned up fully.

Hope this helps - already...
