Hi All, Does anyone know if i download the newest remote app on my i-pad if it will overwrite the 1.5.5503 version i have now. or will i be able to have both versions on my i-pad. I am using a classic 16.4.2 i bought new in 2012. it has 1.7.2 something on it and works fine. Except that i don't like that it only has 2 FX on it. newer ones have 4. Thanks

It’ll overwrite the old app. Keep in mind v1.6.5 needs the latest version of Universal Control.

Newer versions of the "classic" software will NOT offer more features. There is no way to add two more FX to the "classic" mixers. The software updates have to do with newer OS and iOS versions. Never change software if you don't need to!
In case you are looking for some more information about software versions, have a look at the download page: https://www.presonus.com/products/StudioLive-16.4.2/downloads Select your iOS, then click "Show/Hide all versions..." Universal Control v1.7.2 supports Mac OS X 10.10.5 Yosemite, Mac OS X 10.9.5 Mavericks, Mac OS X 10.8.5 Mountain Lion and Mac OS X 10.7.5 Lion. If you move to High Sierra, Sierra or El Capitan, you need Universal Control v1.7.6 on your Mac and PreSonus SL Remote v1.6.5 on your iPad. |
