Hello one and all
I am not a frequent forum user, more of a reader of posts, but for once I could use a little help. I have just purchased a pre-owned 16.0.2 for our music club. It's my first foray into digital mixing. Now everything seems to work according to plan, but I have a couple of questions regarding the Fat Channel....If I select say channel 1 and that channel's setting appears on the LED's, showing the Compression, Gate, and 3 Band EQ etc, now if I press GEQ that would display all the EQ variants across the all the LED's, I take it I am correct so far. Now if I select FXA or FXB, and this is the bit I ain't too sure on. What do all the knobs do through the Fat Channel in that selection? Are they EQ for the FX independently of the main mix? I have started to read the manual, but not noticed any details about FX settings through those Fat Channel dials. I can't check sound at present as my speakers are not with me, I am going by sight alone. Any correspondence much appreciated.

If you hit select on an FX, then the FAT eq will be for the FX engine itself. So, you can take a little highs out of the FX and so on before they return back to the main mix, very useful at times to make the FX (reverb for example) sound better.

Thanks for for that Steve, that sounds like the answer I hoped for, hopefully I can get set up in a day or so to try out. Be nice to just tweek the sound in the FX mix.

Cheers
John
