Hello Forum -

Can anyone confirm if Studio One compensates for latency across all channels when using plugins in a live environment with one of the StudioLive consoles?

To provide an example - Waves MultiRack (Native) will track the latency across each of the racks (up to eight plugins per rack) and apply the longest amount of latency to each of the channels to ensure they all return at roughly the same time.

Cheers.

i don't see this happen in Live use of S1. This seems to be a playback compensation only.
But as long as you don't duble mic an instrument this is no problem. if you do this or some parallel processing you have to insert the same plugins in every channel to avoid phasing effects. I tend to use zero latency plugins whenever possible to keep the overall latency at minimum.
