Hello all,

I have a question that comes from my (4) four singers at my church.

This is the way I have everything setup right now:

Reverb #1 is our FOH reverb.
Reverb #2 is #1 singers reverb.

Singer #1 has Reverb #2 up for him and none of the other singers are in his reverb.

Singers 2,3 &4 have Reverb #1 up on their IEM mix. But they complain of being able to hear singer #1 through the their reverb even though his channel is turned all the way down. Also every singer likes more reverb than the other.

Now the question is, is there anyway that I can hook up more reverbs to get singers 2,3 & 4 the reverb that they need in their IEM's.

Thanks,
John Bovinette

there is, but it might cost a few bucks, although there are plenty of old lexicon mpx100 rackmount processors or simmilar out there on ebay pretty cheap.

If you have 3 AUX mixes and 3 channels left you can use them to create 3 more reverb FX sends, use an AUX mix to add one of the other singers into it, run a line from that AUX out into an outboard FX processor, then come out of the FX processor into a channel on the board. Set the processor th fully wet then use the channel fader to add wet into the mix along with the dry (original channel fader).

I guess you would really only need 2 AUX and 2 channels, since the board already has 2 reverbs, that would give you 4 seperate reverbs and each one could be mixed into each of the monitor mixes independantly. You may be able to find a 1U 2 channel FX processor to do it.

You may also consider to use Studio One for reverb for your singers. They can have one per singer. It's less expense than an outboard lexicon.

Thanks for your answers!

Dale, How would I do this with Studio 1? Will this work for live use? Also will it affect the use of Capture?

Quite honestly, I am trying to find out about how to accomplish this very thing.
I'm on the Presonus Facebook group asking that question and the mechanics of implementing same.

The success of this will depend on the power of your computer as far as the latency introduced by the plugins.

Anyway, you can route any channel to Studio One, place any inserts on it you want, and route the output of that channel in Studio One back to the same channel on the mixer. Then you simply engage the D)) button on that channel and it will take the processed track from Studio One as its input.

Not sure what you have to have set up in Studio One to hear it - probably just the monitor (blue) button.

The question I asked in the facebook group was what kind of computer requirements are needed and is it something I can do with a oneoff band? Sometimes, I just want to replace a bass sound or a kick drum. As they aren't all that good to begin with.

Secondly, can the processed sound replacement be recorded in capture?

The computer requirements will vary based on how many plugins you plan to add.

I believe Capture will get the same unprocessed digital audio that Studio One gets. The stereo mix on the mixer would have it if you record that but not the individual tracks.

Thank you, mwright. I guess I should have started a new thread about this over hijacking this one. Apologies.
