How do you name a track/channel using UC with a 32.4.2AI. The manual says to click on the default name and type in the new name. This doesn’t work for me.
Latest firmware, latest UC, 32.4.2AI connected to computer via FW800. Thanks, Greg |
Looks like the permission problem again (StudioLiveSoftware_ReferenceManual-EN-V7_29092017, section 3.5.2). Your UC Surface device needs FOH and Rename permissions. To be sure that your mixer is not locked, try to "type" a name by the encoder. Keep the name short, something like "test" or "abc" or so...

Hey guys,
Thanks for your input. It helped me solve this problem by questioning permissions. The fix was to go to Device settings in UC Control Device Settings and change the “Other” dropdown setting from “none” to “Ch Rename”. I didn’t know that this was an option since have never selected the “Other” box. This whole issue of permissions is particularly pertinent for me right now since I recently moved and am in the process of setting up a dedicated, offline wireless network in my studio. Thanks again, Greg |
