Hello, I started using the music notation Notion app 8 years. Excited about update so I first tried on the app on my phone, which was fine. Then downloaded it the updated app on my iPad Pro; I bought the $15 upgrade and started writing music Only to find I CAN NOT SAVE any (nothing)! Whenever I leave the app or try to save from a bluetooth keyboard I get an error message. This obviously renders the app useless right now. Anyone else having the situation? Any know fixes? And, yes I referred to the manual and reinstalled the app and restarted iPad. It does nothing.

Okay I figure something. There is a bug when importing a Notion. from (i)phone app to iPad. That’s when I get the error message, otherwise its working fine now. But, why isn’t my file saving to the iCloud in the first place? I am register and all signed in.

Please try one more time by deleting "!" character at the end of the title of the song.

Just started using it again Friday. I’ve found that I must use the Folder icon on the Notion Mobile Home screen to select where I want the new score saved each time, either iCloud or locally on my iPad.

While there is no Save As… equivalent within the app, a simple workaround was to use the iPad’s File app and move the Notion file to iCloud. There was already a Notion folder in my iCloud, or I would have just copied the entire folder over there.

Now when I run the app, I click on the Folder icon on the Notion Mobile app Home screen to open my scores from iCloud. It does give me a choice of iCloud or iPad. No other options appear, such as Dropbox, but iCloud is where I save everything now, after getting badly burned by Google Drive.

Hi,

If you have either Google drive or Dropbox app on your mobile device, then Notion gives you an option to save your works to one of those locations. Please see the attached picture, and you will see the Dropbox icon on Notion.

Best

The "!" is part of the message not part of the song title. I have the same thing happening to me. It seems to be related to importing a .notion file into the mobile device (in my case Android) .
