Background: I have a desktop PC and a docking station for my work laptop. I use a USB Switch that allows me to share/use peripherals (mouse, keyboard, revelator) on both devices.

Both the laptop and PC are on the same version of Universal Control (3.6.4.87069).

My io24 -- which, to this point, had been used exclusively on the desktop PC -- had/has firmware version 1.28 installed. When I swap to the laptop, it prompts me to "update" the firmware to the "New version" 1.21. OK, I do that.

When I swap back to the desktop, I'm prompted to "update" (back) to 1.28.

So, basically, I'm forced to update firmware every time I swap from one device to another. It's a relatively minor nuisance, but bothersome, nevertheless.

The latest firmware updates are only included and relative to which version of Universal Control is installed. You're running an older version of Universal Control. To be consistent, you'll need to have the same version installed on both of your computers. The download for the latest version is available in your My.PreSonus account.

UC was telling me I was current when I was not - installing the latest on both machines fixed the issue. Thanks, Trucky.
