I leave my computer (2020 imac) switch on and unlike my old focusrite saffire pro the Revelator io24 doesn't have a power switch. Is there a way to power down the unit outside of unplugging the usb cable and would do so potentially cause any damage? At the moment the unit is left on though phantom power is turned off.

Sorry no.
I have mine plugged into a USB strip that has on/off buttons to handle that. |
