Hi PreSonus Representatives!

I just purchased the io24 from SW after trying multiple sw-based and hw-based products. The io24 ticked a lot of boxes for me. I've spent the weekend getting to know the product and hope the following would be included for consideration into future updates of firmware and software for the product:

1 - The io24 has 2 presets vs 4 on the revelator microphone. It would be nice to have 4 in the io24 GUI.

2 - I would prefer the presets on left to stay put and not change/update when I turn the wheel. Let the syntax above the wheel show the dial status and keep the presets static/fixed at whatever I designate them to be.

3 - Sliders - It would be nice if they would go to 0 when double-clicked. Currently, when you double click them, they just enlarge for a second.

4 - GUI size - It would be nice if there was a way to enlarge the whole revelator io24 box; a global zoom.

Thanks for making the revelator io24!

1. Platform is limited to 4 preset slots, so a single input device, like the microphone version, has all 4 available to it, versus IO24, where it has 2 channels, each getting 2 presets. Could change if hardware gets updated later, if at all.

2. The Preset Knob is for selecting a preset to load into the slot. If it didn't, how would the user load a preset? What is the use of turning the Knob in this situation then? The expectation is the user selects the presets they want and perhaps don't touch the wheel much afterwards (I never use the Knob, personally). If you click the text above the Knob, you can access a drop down menu of all presets to select directly. Knob behavior in general is a topic internally, so expect changes to the platform in the future as it's refined.

3. Holding ALT/CTRL will change the Fader position instantly (either 0 dB or infinity respectively). Mac would be Option / CMD. This is the same in Series 3 mixer UC control, for those familiar with that.

4. UC control panels have a minimum size, but usually can be expanded from there. However, there is no "zoom" option to resize the overall app. Not sure if this is feasible or not in the current code. Definitely agree though.

Thanks for the feedback!

1 - OK. I get it. Not that big of a deal.

2 - OK. I knew the items you mentioned. But, still not a fan of the functionality. I would also add, it would be nice to lock the pre-defined presets. For example, if I change Vocal from HPF=160 to 40. It will stay that way even if I close the Revelator GUI and come back in. I'm sure I could "protect' them by using one of my 6 slots to keep a backup of the original. But, then I lose those slots for custom designed ones.

3 - Awesome!!! Thanks for the tip. I found that nowhere in the Revelator io24 Owner's Manual.

4 - Huge request for this. Would be a great help to us older folks. Especially when sitting back from the desk with instrument in hands.

Currently, the user has access to alter the selected channel's DSP control, in real time, so whatever preset you have load can be altered. This does not mean that the preset itself has been saved this way, only that the currently loaded version of it has. If you were to load that saved preset again, your changes would revert.

I don't think we're going to lock users out of changing DSP / Fat Channel just because they loaded a built in preset. Also, any changes you make SHOULD be retained on power cycle for the channels. This is by design.

You can save any number of presets to the hard drive, if you are worried about taking up slots. Perhaps, you should save the default ones you like to disk and use the list for loading the presets you want to use that session.

Like I said, improving the GUI is a topic and you will likely see lots of changes in the future as we refine and develop this new little platform (Revelator series). Thanks!
