So for different software programs etc.. it'd be nice to have better control, over pads / midi notes and assigning them as such.

Is there any possible way to make the Atom more flexible in this regard?

thnx, any idea if it's possible in this firmware?

In non-native mode, you can change the MIDI note assignment for pads.
In native mode, at present, you can't.
Hopefully someday!
