Seems the default is from C to C...along with the transpose up/down pads. How can I change it to G to G, for instance?.... without complicated re-mapping, etc?

Simple. Select the track you have ATOM on and open the inspector. Use the transpose function. e.g. if you set that to 2 the ATOM pads now play from D to D

yes that works, but only transposes the track. It does not change what notes are actually recorded. I guess you could just bounce the track afterwards...?

Or once you are happy with all the midi data, you then edit the midi and put it all up 2 semitones permanently and then remove the transpose option in the inspector.
I agree though a nice feature might be to be able to transpose directly from ATOM and then the track would be recording the right data straight away.

yes...that and/or being able to transpose up in increments vs just octaves. Thx for the great answers.

It's a mystery to me why this setting is not standard on all drum pads ! When I receive my Atom the first thing I am going to try is this : https://www.codefn42.com/notemapper/index.html |
bartbalint wrotePlease let us know how this goes. I certainly would appreciate it! I found out that the learn function in Superior Drummer 3 is all I need ! Just choose the drum I want then click the learn button ! Hit the pad I want ! Repeat for every pad ! Save as a preset in Superior Drummer 3 ! Done ! |
