I am able to load and listen to sounds within kits just fine. But is there a way for me to search all the kick drums and call them up at once so I can compare all the kicks and choose the kick I want and then find the all the claps and choose the one that sounds best for my project. I realize then that I am going to also have to create a custom kit which I have no idea how to do but first things first. Is there a way to search all of a particular sound at once? Thanks.

There is software like 'XLN Audio XO' and 'Algonaut Atlas' that does this.

Use the Studio One browser.
Type in a work like "Kick" or "Snare" and you will see associated lists of audio loops.
You can then play each one using the Play button at the bottom of the list.
