Reset Faderport to Cubase/Mackie?

I have universal Control app but it isn't giving me any option to select a different control protocol like for Cubase. V2. single 2018. I have selected Mackie Control in Cubase but the Faderport isn't working...If I start up the FP I do get the AVB config app but nothing happens when you select anything in it....
I assume the 2 select buttons are the prev and next buttons..correct??
what's going on...I want to use the FP in Cubase 10.5

Universal Control provides audio driver support and firmware updates.
By default, the FaderPort 2018 is in Studio One operation mode. To switch to Cubase operation, press and hold the NEXT button while powering on your FaderPort, then press the Bypass button to enable Cubase (MCU) operation.

I use Studio One so I'm not able to help much regarding Cubase.
Maybe a Cubase user will see this and respond to your request?

btw. do I need to do that every time I start the FP in Cubase??

No. It should remember your Cubase mode setting.

I have a problem since using faderport. When I recording midi instrument it suddenly disturbed my pithcbend while in recording..
Sorry for my bad english..hope you understand it..
Can someone help me..
