I just read the release notes for the Universal Control 2.8.0.48221 update. It stated that this update added "Support for FaderPort and FaderPort Classic in Universal Control". I understood this to mean that Faderport v2 is now able to control a channel strip of Universal Control. I use Universal Control running on a Mac Mini to control an RML16AI rack mixer, and I would love to be able to adjust faders using a hardware controller!
Can anyone confirm that I'm understanding this correctly? If it's true this a fantastic and extremely useful update! Would this capability also extend to a Faderport 8? |
FaderPort v2 (2018), Classic, 8 and 16 are only designed for DAW control. None of them will control Universal Control.
