I love using the faderport transport controls while editing/recording, and while I know the loop button turns it on and off, is there a way to set in and out points using the Faderport buttons?
In Logic, you simply hold the loop button and press the reverse or forward buttons. Is there a way in studio one? -John |
You may need to create a macro and then assign it (or them) to the F function buttons.
Please note that I may express opinions that are different from yours but I do not intend to cause offence.

Not directly I don't think but there may be a way. Which Faderport are you talking about as well?
Do you know that if you place the cursor at one position and hold Alt and Press Num Pad1, the Left side of the loop will assume that setting and if you move the cursor to a later position and hold Alt and Press NumPad 2 the Right side of the Loop will assume that setting. So you could program two of the user buttons for those two functions. You could scroll using the large encoder to the desired loop start position and set the left side of the loop. Scroll again to the desired right loop setting and set the right side of the loop using the second user button.

you can also set up a macro in S1 to "set loop to selection" and assign that macro to a function key on the FP.
I agree that it would be a nice feature to somehow do it directly from the FP1/8/16. |
johnboulware1 wroteThanks guys, these are helpful! I ended up setting F3 to Set Loop Start and F4 to Set Loop End. Works easily enough to get the job done. Hello, how are you affecting these controls with faderport ? I try to find how, but it's hard to gt informations. I would also like to set F1&F2 for loop range control |
Can you state your faderport model please/how many tracks. Perhaps put it in your signature. Thx.
