Discuss Quantum Series Interfaces Here

It would be wonderful to be able to turn OFF the main volume knob on the front of the interface. I understand at %100 to the right it is at 0db (which is great) but ultimately that knob is going to be touched and then your pure path is compromised. The controls in the UC software DO NOT give the ability to bypass or disable that pot. This seems like an oversight and should be a simple software fix. The controls of the main front volume knob have MANY functions.. just not the simplest one... "OFF"

The main out is after the D/A conversion for output. It has no effect on the file, only monitoring. You want to leave the DAW main out alone. That will affect the file.

yes, I realize it doesnt effect the "file". Its the monitoring sound levels im concerned about.
It seems like a simple option to include that would make many users happy.

Whilst we're on the subject, can I get the option to bypass the pre amp input knobs as well and do this in software?

Mine does this. Does yours not do this? I have two of them and control them in Universal Control and on dedicated midi controllers when I’m remote recording.

Yeah I always suspected something was wrong with my unit. See attached, that's what my UC UI looks like.

Okay, so I have a Quantum 2632 and a Quantum 2 hooked up so I can't speak on the 2626, but on the top right of your screen I see that the ADAT area is highlighted. I BELIEVE (not 100% sure) that we are looking at the ADAT expansion area (the two lightpipe connectors on the back). Try tapping that and seeing if the screen changes when you have microphone cables plugged in.

Here's what mine looks like with a mic cable plugged into input 1. I have 1/4" line inputs running into the rest of them so they're showing up as line input (+4 or -10). Not the green input and ability to click the first input.

Thank you so much for explaining this. There is clearly something wrong with my setup.

I just bought a Quantum 2632 and can't even get it to work. The power buttons stays red. Any tips?
