I’m looking to get a Titan Ridge 2.0 Thunderbolt card and a Quantum 2626.

I’m worried this will be a waste of time and effort by the looks of it the Quantum 2626 driver for windows is flaky?

Anyway I’m willing to give it a go as I’m desperate for more IO.

Any one got TB working with X570?

My motherboard is a Gigabyte Aurous Master with TB header.

CPU is 5950X

Thanks!

Assuming TB is supported by the motherboard and CPU, and all drivers are up to date, there should be no reason why the Quantum driver wouldn't work.

We do not test AMD systems for Thunderbolt, as this is an Intel based feature mostly. Certification of Thunderbolt products (which we do) is all Intel based only.

Even Apples M1 TB3/USB4 chip is custom and not from Intel.

I've seen people have success with AMD machines before (ASRock Taichi mobo's). Maybe someone will chime in.

I advice you to buy the Gigabyte B550 VISION D-P with official native thunderbolt. It's your best bet. Also Asus coming out with a motherboard: Asus ProArt X570-CREATOR WIFI
By the way I prefer Intel especially when dealing with thunderbolt

My system
Intel Core i9-10900K Processor
Noctua NH-U12A CPU cooler
Gigabyte Z490 VISION D
Samsung 970 EVO Plus 1TB SSD
Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3200MHz 64GB
MSI GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Gaming X Trio 12G
StarTech Thunderbolt Cable 2M (TBOLTMM2MW)
StarTech Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt 2 adapter (TBT3TBTADAP)
Neumann TLM 102 microphone
Presonus Quantum
Windows 10, Ableton 11, Cubase 10

I've got an Asrock x570 MB and Ryzen 5900x with a gigabyte GC titan ridge TB3 card installed. The quantum is due to arrive Monday, so I'll let you know how it goes.

I just put in a ticket with presonus asking this very question. I'm looking at a couple of machines that have USB4 ports and wondering how well the Quantum 2626 will function on them. Everything I read online says TB4 and USB4 are mostly interchangeable, but people in these cases aren't usually talking about audio and proprietary drivers. Of course the computer vendor says it'll be fine, but they're trying to sell me a PC aren't they? Anyone got a working AMD Ryzen USB4 setup that uses a Quantum 2626? Anyone tried to do this and given up b/c it wasn't working? Either anecdote would be helpful!

I have a ASROCK X570 creator, CPU is Ryzen 3950 (12 Core) works fine, had some crackels in the beginning with earlier firmware in Windows desktop at certain clock rates, but that was fixed in a firmware release. With Asio everything was stable from day 1.

I actually have two of the quantum 2626 series, i run one in my bandroom, one at home. The Bandroom has a 2018 intel mac mini, also works fine.

I switched from the ryzen to a mac mini M2 at home, which is also working fine with Ventura on both mac machines.

I wish the headphone mix could be controlled seperatly, but that is not possible with the quantum - i.e. have the master without audio correction plugins, only inserted in a monitoring chain - but for the money the interface holds up very well.

I can recommend it, and would buy other presonous products, because they were really quick fixing inital problems with the interface. The IT software world is complex, but they deliverd, that is what really matters to me.
