Hey all,
I'm in the process of upgrading my home recording set-up. Moving from an AudioBox 44VSL to a Quantum 2626. I did also buy (and then return) an HP Spectre 360 15. Fan kept kicking in and it was murder trying to control the clicking and popping (sample size, C-States etc - just tiresome). So, who's got a happy rig, with low latency using the Quantum 2626? Mac or Windows, I'm open to suggestions. I'm talking negligible fan noise and not losing days Googling C-States and DPC tweaks. Ready to spend GBP1500. Used Imac? Macbook Pro? Dell XPS? Suggestions welcome.
