Just thought I would share this solution incase anyone else suffers as I have!

I couldn't figure out how to get my input monitored as I recorded into Pro Tools. All signal was visible etc but no sound at all during monitoring...until...I DESELECTED LOW LATENCY MONITORING from the Options menu in Pro Tools!

Bang! Sweet glorious sound!
