Using Universal Control 2.8.0 and my new Quantum 2. Macbook Pro 2014 15". Mac OS X 10.12.6. Every time I plug in and turn on my Quantum 2 it tells me it needs to update the firmware. I go through the process, unplug the cables, repatch them, boot up again, and it says it still needs to update the firmware. Any ideas?

It will display the firmware version on boot up. Look to see if it changes.

Also open a support ticket.

Turns out you have to unplug the power cable of the Quantum 2 when power cycling it. Missed that part of the dialog box.
