Discuss Quantum Series Interfaces Here

My band practices through a yamaha ex 5000 and I have the input signal split from each instrument inputted on each mixer channel and inputted in quantum inputs so that we can record each practice and still have the powered mixer coming through the mixer mains so we can hear live. I'm guessing there is signal loss splitting the signal and I wanted to find out if there is a better way to do it. I've seen videos of 1/4 in plug tip only used with the channel inserts but it seems a direct usb to interface would be better if it could send multi tracks through it, which I think a majority of mixers mostly sends only 2 channels through their usbs or other outbound connections. Also, are the outs on back of quantum pass throughs if the quantum is on or off? If so, maybe i could just instrument imput on quantum inputs and run the back side outs to my mixer. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Get a mixer with direct outs. Directly comparing to your Yamaha, the Allen and Heath Mixwizard is cool mixer that has direct outs.

Just realized the Yamaha EMX is powered. The mix wizard is not.

I owned a pair of these at one point and absolutely loved them. They are fantastic.
