I'm not sure why (there haven't been any recent major hardware or software changes to my workstation), but as of today the audio from my Studio 24c, at random, will start crackling and becoming "crispier" sounding (as if it were peaking/clipping), eventually becoming more and more distorted before going silent. I have to either disconnect and reconnect the 24c or reboot, which resolves it temporarily (the issue always returns later). Replacing the USB and audio cables hasn't resolved this, and I've also tried completely uninstalling all audio drivers + software from my system and reinstalling them to no avail. What should I do?
I'm using Universal Control 3.4.1.63149 on Windows 10.0.19042.867 Pro x64. Hardware: Processor: Intel Core i5-3570 @ 3.40 GHz Motherboard: Intel DQ77MK |
Hi and welcome to these forums
That sounds to me like a buffer issue. First thing to check is that every active audio application (including system audio) is on the same sample rate and bit depth, and the interface too. You may have to toggle the interface to a different sample rate and back. See if that solves it. |
