I've done a search for this topic and did not find anything relevant. I am wanting to connect my Roland V-Drum module to my 1810c interface and use the actual sounds from the module. I am running two TS cables from the main outs on the module. Do I connect the cables to the interface via the 1/2 Mic/Inst/Line inputs or the 3/4 Mic/Line inputs or does it matter? If I use 1/2 do I have the Line button on or off?

I would use the 3/4 inputs and setup a stereo input in song setup then maybe call it “Drums”
That way there will be 2 lines free if you need a DI’ed instrument later on 1 or 2 and less buttons to press on the drums.
Do you also want setup MIDI tracks with same ?

I found this about the 1/2 inputs and the Line button in the manual,
I advice you to read the manual.

. Channels 1 and 2 offer an input source selection button that lets you
switch between instrument- and line-level on the ¼-inch inputs for these two
channels. Press this button to disengage the instrument preamp when connecting
line-level devices. When the button is illuminated, the input will accept a line-level
source, such as a synthesizer or guitar amp modeler. Press this button to engage the
instrument preamp when connecting guitars or a passive bass.

Or 5/6 on the back? That leaves all 4 combo inputs available for mics/instruments.
