Hi,
Is this low gain normal on this box? I just got a brand new Studio 24c. The microphone inputs register a low gain until almost the gain knob is full making the gain knob not usable. I tried with various microphones, dynamic and condenser. Used a powered hub and without one too. the results are the same. Headphones and line inputs are fine and pretty decent. I would appreciate if there is any work around for mic usage on this device. Thanks. |

I have exact the same issue here. Isn't there any workaround for it?!

Sounds like a gain potentiometer with incorrect taper. Most gain control circuits require logarithmic taper where maybe these interface preamps need linear taper. Logistical mistake, easy to make (also because of the inconsistent component marking between USA/Asia and Europe), obvious consequences.
