Studio 18|10 question about ADAT and Studio One Integration

I just saw a Youtube video come up for your two new Studio units and I am intrigued by the 18|10. This forum category seems to be the best place to ask about these new units since there isn't another better match that I can find.
Two questions:
1. I see that there is an ADAT Input on the unit. I have a Behringer ADA8200 hooked up to my Echo Layla currently, but I have to have the optical cables connected both directions from Behringer->Echo and vice versa so that the Audio travels from the ADA8200 into the Echo Layla, but the sync passes from the Echo Layla (as master) to the ADA8200 (locked). With only an input on the 18|10, how would the ADA8200 get sync for timing lock?
2. Can you decribe the integration of the new units with Studio One Pro? I know that the VSL software has gone away due to Apple not supporting its methods anymore and the Wendows version is no longer being developed as a result. So is there sometihing new that allows for the same Zero Latency benefits and such? Does it work like I've seen the Quantum work? I'm specifically asking about the Windows version.
Your reply is appreciated.
