Studio 18|10 question about ADAT and Studio One Integration

I just saw a Youtube video come up for your two new Studio units and I am intrigued by the 18|10. This forum category seems to be the best place to ask about these new units since there isn't another better match that I can find.

Two questions:

1. I see that there is an ADAT Input on the unit. I have a Behringer ADA8200 hooked up to my Echo Layla currently, but I have to have the optical cables connected both directions from Behringer->Echo and vice versa so that the Audio travels from the ADA8200 into the Echo Layla, but the sync passes from the Echo Layla (as master) to the ADA8200 (locked). With only an input on the 18|10, how would the ADA8200 get sync for timing lock?

2. Can you decribe the integration of the new units with Studio One Pro? I know that the VSL software has gone away due to Apple not supporting its methods anymore and the Wendows version is no longer being developed as a result. So is there sometihing new that allows for the same Zero Latency benefits and such? Does it work like I've seen the Quantum work? I'm specifically asking about the Windows version.

Your reply is appreciated.

And another follow up. Is anyone here listening? It has been almost 3 months since asking.

Also, can't seem to find that the unit has even been made available yet. For example, guitar center showing available 5/14/2018.

Nothing like leaving you hanging. Sorry about that.

The 1810sort of operates like the Quantum, but does not have the same latency specs. Depending on what your needs are, that may or may not be a problem. I use the 192, which is similar to the 1810 (USB). I mainly focus on audio, and the latency is a non factor. If you use a lot of soft synths, it may be more of an issue for you.

As far as integration in S1, all controls for the hardware are present in Studio One (preamp, 48v, polarity). Controls are also available in UC as well for other daws.

The adat in will sync clock between the 2 units. You only need the output to use physical outs on the adat pre. To use the outs on the adat pre, you would need to move up to the 1824.

Ok, I am thinking that the 1824 is where I will be going.

So, I am coming from an echo audio Layla 3g, so I'm sure the latency specs would be better, right? Even though the Layla is pci and not USB, but drivers are windows 8 age.

Also, what about the availability question? I am selling a bunch of older gear and replacing with new, but trying to establish buying order.

Looking for anyone's thoughts on this.

Nothing? Left hanging for 3 months and now?

I guess the hype train has left the station?

Well - I suppose there is no reason to answer my question about availability at this point since I now own the Studio 1824. I'm having some problems with getting it to work the way I want, but I don't think I'll ask here since even a sales question was not answered, I'm guessing I am on my own for tech support (or must go through official support in some way) rather than the forum.
