I measured the relative gains of the 8 channels on my 1824C @ 440 Hz and 2 kHz.
I got some really poor results, am wondering if this is normal. I am NOT a professional recording engineer. I had noticed some substantial differences between the 8 channels so I did my best to try to measure them. I used a tone generator and an SM58 into each of the 8 channels at both frequencies. Got similar results for both. In both cases there was about a 20 dB spread between the most and least sensitive channels. For 440 Hz: Ch. 1 -34.7 2 -13.5 3 -27.2 4 -33.5 5 -25.7 6 -26.1 7 -26.5 8 - 32.1 Channel 2 was consistently 10-15 dB more responsive than the other 7. The spread between channels 1, 3-8 was about 9dB. Anybody have insight into what this means? I've already looked into repair and apparently Presonus does not support this device any longer.
