Hello. New to digital recording. how would one Connect the RC 500 to the Studio Live 24 AI for use with vocal recording. I am assuming that the RC 500 is better than just using the onboard compressors for recording the vocal take. Has anyone used these two items together? Thanks in advance for any info. The manual is a bit scarce with info for hook ups.

My favorite thing about the RC500 is how you can run it into two channels and record an unprocessed signal as well as the processed signal in separate channels. It was one of the "Pro Tip" sections in the manual.

RC500 Send: To line input on channel 1 to get unprocessed signal
RC500 Return: Do not connect
RC500 Line Out: To line input on channel 2 to get processed signal (Comp + EQ)

Both signals are affected by the inout gain and so are line level outputs.
