The new app version of Universal Conrol (formerly UC Surface) for Android, released yesterday, is buggy. It seems to use a screen resolution that Android devices do not have. The screen then shows the note "Remote control not supported at this screen size".

UC v4.3.0.99834 is working great with my Lenovo Tab M10 HD (2nd Gen) that has a 10.1" HD screen (1280 x 800 resolution).
Requires Android 6.0 and up.
What's the specs on your Android that's having this issue?

I don't use an Android device, but here are two screenshots users have posted. They can not use their devices as they could until they installed the update. And yes, they were asked to contact PreSonus Support. It seems to be necessary to remind users to not install "the latest and greatest" immediately.

These issues have been reported to PreSonus support.
They are working on a KB article to address it and offer some workarounds for affected Android users.

"PreSonus Supporthas suggested as a workaround to download the previous version of UC-Surface from Presonus Legacy software page and disable Google Play auto-update. The previous version is working as expected." (Quote from a Facebook group)

The idea sounds good, just that there is no "Previous version" available anymore. That's why this might be a better idea: A user suggested to find the "Screen Zoom" option in the Display menu of an Android tablet and make UC fit to the screen.

There is no workaround for iOS users yet.

What’s the problem with giving a direct link to download an apk file without the participation of Google Market and other stores?

It should be added that there is also a problem on the iOS side. iPads "mini" have this problem too and there is no solution or workaround yet. It was said that PreSonus is "aware of the issue".
