Can the series III mixers set speaker delays (used in larger venues) on their own? And would you send those out the sub group faders or something like that?

All outputs have a delay option (0 to 170 mS), including the "fixed" subgroups A-D. It would be possible to assign the subgroups to four different loudspeakers and delay them individually. The question will be then how to send the signals to stage. A rack mixer used as stagebox does not have physical outputs for the subgroups and the outputs of NSB stageboxes also are limited. Therefore it might be easier to use a "normal" flex mix (aux mix, subgroup, matrix mix). Is there a reason why you don't want to use Main L/R?

And, welcome to the Forum and thanks for asking. ;-)

I think i would want to use Main L/R. I just wasn't sure if i would then need a separate speaker distributor in between mixing console and preamps for the FOH. Just trying to understand if this would be redundant.
Thanks
