Hi, when I activate the Console 1 plugin on a recording track in reaper , hear what I hear in my mp3 file. It seems to do that only with Console 1 plugin so far and also only with your asio drivers, cause I tried with 2 other audio cards without any problems.

tks

CPU.

Check your CPU performance in your OS. When you activate the plugin, do you see a spike in CPU processing?

Please list the two other audio cards for comparison.

Hi, tks for taking the time, No peaking in cpu on CTRL+ALT+DEL / Performance.
Also, if I load a pretty big project with lost of plugins and play it back at 16 block buffer just for fun without the console 1 plugin, everything is fine. As soon that there is only one instance of the console 1 plugin added, I hear what you hear.

And just so you know, even without recording, I can hear those buzz when on monitoring and 1 instance in on the track.

16 Sample buffer?

That's extremely low. Even 32 samples wouldn't be guaranteed to work.

Console 1 likely just takes more processing than your CPU can handle at that buffer size.

What is your normal Buffer / Block sample size?

Like I said, I can add more plugins without any problems. And even at 2048 it does it. it just takes longer
It was not doing this with the other sound cards

OK. Whatever you say.

You don't want to answer my questions or list the other cards you claim don't have the same issue.

Good luck.

What DAW are you using ? Correction got it, it's Reaper.
16 is abnormally low and even with my Apollo Twin TB it gets dirty fast, one other thing is that I don't think Console 1 is capable of going that low. It never worked on my system at least.
And why are you putting this on Live sound ? It's a plugin question.

Oh, I saw it, you use the StudioLive III as your soundcard. My bad.

Have you installed the UC for the mixer ?
Try to re-install the UC meant for the mixer if you have and see if it helps.
My 2 cents.

Hi, it does the same stuttering on 128 block or even higher.
One track, one instance of Console 1.
I did re-install the Universal control and have the latest version and latest firmware

I had to re-install all Softube software and re-install one plugin at a time in an own installer a short while ago (had to download each and every one separate and NOT via the new Softube Central as downloading them from there just made all plugins crashing my DAW's) could this be it ?
Am now using the newest versions from Softube. Also have you updated your Ilok ?
They told me that would be a good thing, the guys/girls from Softube it is.

You will need to download the Console 1 installer from your Softube account on the Softube page to do this manually.

I had to un-install all Softube software before installing again.
Forgot to mention that part but thought that was logical to do first.
I do that with any troublesome software now to avoid version trouble.
I have learned now...

Any update?

I do not have a Console 1 to test with.

Is the mixer and the controller on the same USB hub? (Hub does not specifically mean external hub, fyi)

Here you have the manual:
https://softubestorage.b-cdn.net/manual ... Manual.pdf
Go to page 82 and read.
One thing I had to do as well recently was to make sure that power-saving was turned off on all my USB ports.
Maybe that is also a good thing to try.

One thing I had to do recently was to tick off the OpenGL Gui available on the Console 1 plugin setup after a re-install as it really messed up my SO4, when turned off everything worked again.

Interesting.

What brand of video card / chip are you using?

Graphic Drivers can be a real PITA with audio systems. I had a AMD FireGL Pro or w/e in a tower that prevented Waves Central from even loading. Had to disable the driver to make it work. Ended up dumping that card for an nVidia chip.

Yeah, I know. It's your signature. :)

Question, are you trying to monitor a channel that has been set to USB for playback, while the input is set to the same channel?

That would cause a feedback loop. Changing the channel on the mixer to set it's Digital Send to source Analog, instead of Digital would fix that.

Channel Options Gear wheel on LCD > Digital Send = Analog

Just a thought.
