Does the Macbook 12'' 2016 support AVB? I am thinking of connecting the 32R via AVB to free USB ports. Thanks for feedback!

Cheers,
Chris

If it has a Thunderbolt Port, chances are yes. If you are just dipping in to this, there are some settings in the OS that you will need to deal with to Un-hide the avb features. Google mac avb setup and you should find the instructions.

ok thanks, I will check that. On the first try the 32R didn't show up when connected by avb. If I managed to run avb, would it also include control or audio only over that one connection? BTW, the 12'' macbook doesn't have thunderbolt, but usb c. So probably it won't work. I'll give it a try..

Hi Andrew,

First thing - it seems AVB doesn't work under High Sierra - so I hear - I have Sierra and it works ok. However at first it didn't work until I switched wireless off - only then could the Audio-Midi control panel discover the AVB connection to the 16R.

I think that a type C usb will also be fine with an adapter.

Hope it works out for you.
