This is the third year for using Presonus as the backbone for a multi-station outdoor drama. I have used a series 2 and now a series 3 to do this successfully. I am using a Series 3 16ch board, running 3 separate dramas all at once using Aux outputs to feed them, and an ipad to mix them all. THis year we are adding a Series 3 32R, connected via Cat5. I also need to run two Netgear WAC740 access points in ensemble mode since this is spread over a large area. I have two questions...

Scenario:

Series 3 16ch board + Series 3 32R + two access points "meshed" together.

The natural question is... and I'm sure the official word on this is that I need an AVB switch. I'm sure the Presonus one would work great. However, I would like to save some cash.. Is there an "unofficial" switch that someone has used and worked?

THank you

For a direct AVB connection (Point-to-Point) of two devices you don't need an AVB switch. Remote Control is anyway separated and needs its own cable. Here is more info:

"StudioLive_Series_III_Stagebox_Mode_Addendum_V4_EN_24072018" and "StudioLive_Series_III_AVB_Networking_Guide_EN_11092018".

In theory, yes. I am not aware of any testing involving mesh networks, so you are in uncharted waters. If you remember, can you come back with your results? I am interested in the setup.
