FaderPort 8 and FaderPort 16 General Discussion

Over the past several weeks, I've been checking for UC updates that would support the 2626 and FP8. Mostly I was looking at support for the 2626 so it's possible that the FP8 was working with previous versions of UC on the M1 Mac with Big Sur. Disclosure: I'm stating my lack of clarity on the details to avoid confusion or misinformation.

Yesterday, I noticed UC v 3.4.1 which was released on February 9, 2021. The FP8 firmware update was successful and FP8 including MIDI Mode seem to be functioning fine with S1 5.1.2 and LPX 10.6.1. :+1 :punk:

Side note: The 2626 firmware update was also successful but the flashing blue light remains.

The Lack of support is getting ridiculous. I bought the Quantum2626 to be future proof only to find out it isn't. If Presonus doesn't give us M1 compatible drivers soon they have to offer us an alternative. Either money back or exchange for an alternative non-thunderbolt interface.

This is not a Presonus issue.

All of the major audio product developers - UAD, AVID, MOTU, and so many more are working to update their hardware and software to be compatible with silicon or M1 Macs.

Yeah, I get it - I wanted M1 compatibility at end of last year. :D It will happen!

The 2626 is an amazing interface in terms of sound quality, the lowest latency, and the range of I/0 including MIDI.
