FaderPort 8 and FaderPort 16 General Discussion

I have S1 V3, latest firmware on FP 16 (2.02) and Win 10/64. Brand new FP unit, long time S1 V3 pro install. Firmware updated on 1818vsl as well.

This unit will not connect in native mode... tried cables, different usb ports and even though windows "sees" the device when it is plugged in, S1 does not.

I am used to connecting devices as I was using for years a Tascam US 2400. Removed it fine. Odd thing is when I try to "add" external controllers it only shows "Fader Port," not Fader Port 16.....

I am guessing this might be an issue with my S1 V3 version.

Thus, when I open my S1 I clicked on update available and try to update V3 it tries and then stops saying "failed."

What the heck am I doing wrong?

What version of Studio One 3 Pro is installed?

Instead of trying to update while in Studio One, login to your My.PreSonus account, download and install using the installer program:

Also once you have installed the correct version of Studio One when you do go to add your external controller it should show up as Faderport 16. I only have Faderport 8 but it definitely has its own external device.

There are 4 Faderport devices:

Faderport (Classic)
Faderport 2018
Faderport 8
Faderport 16

Jemusic and Trucky.... Thank you and you are both absolutely right. I am at 3.2.0 which will not support it so when I get home I will download the installer for my 3.5.6 and re-install... Hope I won't lose any of my plugs or prior recordings... crossing fingers... Thanks for the help
