How many characters displayed in scribble strips?

Looking at adding a Faderport 16 and was wondering how many characters fit across the width of the scribble strip for track names. I would be using this in native mode in Studio One. I used to have a Mackie Control and it was limited to 7 characters.

10 characters? Is this really true? I am using the Faderport 16 in Logic X. I can only use 5-6 characters. I can fit something like Vocal1 but not more. Am I doing something wrong?
