FaderPort 8 and FaderPort 16 General Discussion

I have exhausted myself trying to get VI instrument focus just using the fader8.
Can it be done I hear myself ask?

If I have two tracks, audio and instrument. Let's put a mixtool on both.
Pressing plugins edit button will show two mixtools. Selecting either will bring up the mixtool on the screen and allow faders to be mapped etc...

Now if instead of hitting edit plugins I press the VI button, it will show the inst name in the display. OK, select that Inst. and nothing! it doesn't bring the Vi into focus. I have set, and wasted, a user button to bring it into focus.

Is this a bug? To my way of thinking, once I select the VI it should "pop up"..

I don't believe the FP is designed to focus on VST instrument editing like it does VST plugs.
This would be a good feature request for it!
