Hi All,

There's a new version of Universal Control v2.5.2 on the PreSonus Website.

The Release Notes include the following statement:

"Firmware update for FaderPort 8 (updated workflow now matches FaderPort 16)"

Anybody knows what that entails? Is this a required/recommended update?

Thanks,
Danny V.

Bump.

Can someone verify that UC2.5.2 installs the Faderport8 firmware update 2.0.1 that was referenced in a previous post (2/3/18 - billjackson1)?

And what exactly does this 2.0.1 firmware update do for a Faderport8?

Yes it updates it. The setup screen has a few new options, most notably MCU control modes for logic, Cubase, and sonar.

The scribble strips now show a new pan setting display for each Channel, and the metering display seems to have been updated as well. I don't remember a gain reduction display next to the meter before but there's one there now.

So there doesn't seem to be any major update. I think it's just to bring it up to the same version as is being shipped with the faderport 16
