I am using a $12.00 laptop stand I got from Amazon. I use Amazon Prime so shipping was free.
It works really well to angle the FP8 just right.

I know a few of us using it now.

Here's the link:

Here is another option. Its only $2 as long as you have an IKEA store available.

This actually works very well and is ideal for iPads as well.

That is waht I was going to ask you Jeff.
Have you tested the front lip on that edge? Sounds like it.

Just take a normal sized bath towel and fold it long ways and then roll tightly Makes a reliable stand for Faderport 8 and you can also custimize the angle.

Take the foam packaging it came in and cut it appropriately into an angle. Or get really cool and make a prism out of acrylic that can sit atop the existing display.

Hi Skip - I've just resurrected a wooden stand I made for some project about 10 years back. When the black matt paint spray job dries, I'll post a piccie here. I've little real estate here on my Vegas Edit desk, and this way I can pull out the PC KB when needed. I think I got the wood from a dumpster?

Yeah, the spray paint cost more than the IKEA stand!

yeah..the unit is definitely a table top unit with no easy way to flush mount it into a "console" style desk. With that in mind, having the meters at more of an angle might have been a better design, seeing that most people will have it out in front of them, creating a bad angle to view the meters. Stuff stands and such under them don't always solve a space solution either. Having them potentially in a 45 degree angle on the back of the display might have been nice.

Can you let us know which stand that is? I'd be keen to get one here if available in the UK.

I bought something similar from Amazon. I scored by purchasing a used one. All of the individual pieces were still in the plastic. I am guessing that I paid like $12 for a $32 stand. Amazon is really great about replacing a bad product.

I just bought one of these. It does not work well at all. The front lip does not secure the FP8 in place and it just slides down and will not hold its position well.

The only way I can see making this work is to use some velcro to keep it from sliding down.

It does however work great for my Chromebook!

I’ve purchased a few at various prices since I acquired my F8. I finally have the one I love the best. I bought two rubber door stop wedges from the $1 store. Fantastic height, angle, traction etc.

My daughter has inherited all of my laptop stands

This one by Amazon Basics looks perfect. $16.25. Anyone tried it?

Wow... great idea! Nice "out of the box" thinking on that one. I'll give that a shot next time I am out and about.

I just need to figure out a good layout for my PC keyboard/mouse and new midi control keyboard. My desk is just a folding table so I don't have any slide-out goodness going on.

This is exactly what I was using before installing prisms (see Display Brightness thread). They definitely worked better than a stand.
