I have the latest universal control update , i get a message Update firmware faderport 8 V1.10.
But when i try to update i get this message : Multiple devices of same type connected . Please disconnect all but one to update the firmware .
But i got just one device !!

Help please !

Does anyone know what was added or fixed in the 1.10 firmware? I know they added the ability to adjust the display contrast. What else?

Contrast control for FaderPort 8 scribble strips now available with included firmware update
Section enables FF and RW control from Session Nav and can now be turned off in Sonar

Update : When i start the universal control there is no more update message available, it's gone !

Do you have 1.10?
If so you're done.
You can force it by saying install firmware anyway.

Update : Message Update firmware faderport 8 V1.10 is back . but i still got the mulitple devices error.

How can i see witch firmware my Faderport 8 has ?

It will say it at a high-level and UC.
You can also do the alternate boot by holding down the first to select keys while booting and it will show it to you in detail.
That's also where are you adjust the contrast by the way.

Make sure using the latest UC you can download.
In the menu there's an option for firmware update.
It will say it's already up-to-date but you can update it anyway and it will force the latest version of the firmware.

I already had the latest UC driver .
I deleted it , downlowed the latest driver , installed it, but nothing is changed . I get the same message again and again.

You are not alone.
I have the same message again and again. There also other users with the same problem. A support ticket is also started a few times at answers.presonus.com.
I hope we will here a little statement from Presonus soon or better, they fix the bug.

Hi,
I have the latest universal control software installed and there is no chance to force a firmware-update anyway.

I can do an update of the software and it tells me that I´m using the latest software > end.
I can do a firmware update and it tells me that I have more than one device connected > end.

No more options.
