I heard that those of us running Yosemite 10.10 are unable to update to the latest version of the firmware. Is this true? My understanding is that despite the notification from the universal control telling us that we've updated that in fact that may not be true.

If you are referring to Universal Control displaying an update to firmware v1.02 this is not specific to OS X 10.10 or any other OS. Firmware version v1.02 is only a numerical revision for compatibility with the new Universal Control 2.0. The firmware version that is installed onto the FaderPort 8 is still v1.01 as there is no change to the firmware itself. Firmware version v1.02 in Universal Control is only a revision for Universal Control 2.0 compatibility and will only reinstall v1.01 on the FaderPort 8 itself. This is normal and does not have any adverse effect on your FaderPort 8. |
