Faderport Update Mode

FaderPort 8 and FaderPort 16 General Discussion

I am following the manuals to the letter and I am not even getting the options they show.
When I configure the external device I go to the send from and receive from options. I only get Faderport Update Mode under each. What am I missing here?
Custom build, OSx10.8.5, Intel i5 Processor, 16GB RAM
S1 3 Artist, Audiobox VSL 1818, Faderport 8

On Windows 10 64:
Very simple setup.
Did you try removing it and then adding it in again?

i have the same problem
remove the FP8 and add it again and UPDATE MODE is the only available option

any thouths???

Sounds like you need to update the Software in the FP8. You do that thru Universal Control.

No no, thanks for the reply but the software was update before using UC

But...

I have solved the problem

I have to erase the audio midi config and redo it all over again and...mission accomplished

Mine also froze on the initial update. 2nd round (1) I unplugged the USB cable, (2) restarted the pc (3) opened UC (4) plugged in USB cable (5) UC recognized the FP and chose to update. It undated fine from there.

FYI my pc is Windows 10 64bit, 16gigs ram, SSD,
