is it normal that the FaderPort 16 has a lower resolution than a FaderPort Classic ?

Are you sure Studio One isn’t just simplifying your automation data? There is a setting in the menu for reducing the number of nodes that get created, it could just have to do with the curves you made.
Not saying that’s it, just asking if you tried adjusting that setting first.

Thank you very much for taking timne for the reply !
Why would the FaderPort Classic not be not affected ?
Anyways it is set to 0% reduction.
Presonus told me that it might be since it has 16 faders.
Ok I have some new insights! positive !
The Tune Faders function has direct influence of the resolution of the faders.
Fader Speed 7 seams to have a higher resolution than Fader Speed 1
After a Firmware upgrade it was set to 5 here.
I have calibrated teh faders now to speed 7 and things feel, look and sound much better now
Thanks for that update!
