I have a Studiolive AR12 USB going into a Mac Pro and using Logic Pro X as DAW. I have a Blue Mic Bluebird connected to AR12 through XLR and have to crank the input on the AR12 just to hear anything through Logic Pro. What gives?

Does that mic need phantom power?
Are you recording the channel input pre everything? So the signal is clean before the eq and fader or anything else. Or are you record the main left and right out? Not really recommended in a studio environment Just asking for some more input on the workflow. Steve
