Brand new to the mixer. I've recorded 2 shows (3 piece r&r band), and both times the recording is so low it can barely be heard.
I can't find a way to adjust the input volume without blasting out the fronts.
Help please.

The AR mixer record post fader to the SD card. The only way to increase the volume is to increase the faders. Maybe its possible to bring down the max volume of the speakers to balance for the increase on the faders?

I just tried recording on the SD Card with my AR16 mixer. I have the same problem of " very low playback volume ". I 've read the previous posts and followed the instructions for Gain Structure too. All my Input Gain is just about red line and the channel faders are near " 0 " unity also.
I really think there is an issue with the gain recording to SD card and probably also the Super Channel which plays back the recordings from the SD card. Since there is " NO Gain Knob " for incoming signal I think the Super Channel gain pre-set might be set too low internally?

Here's what I do - First, downloaded a free Wav Editor, then open the wav file in it and Normalize the volume. Doesn't make it loud enough so I save it as an mp3 and load it into an mp3 editor where I can increase the volume by 300% which makes it loud enough.
If I really want to go the extra mile I then load the file into GarageBand and add some Reverb, Bass . . .
Lot of trouble, but I have time.

Did you happen to get an answer to this? I'm running in to the same problem.

Two reasons your SD recordings may sound weak:

The AR mixers are recording exactly what is shown on the mixer's main meters. So for good recording levels you must have a good strong signal on the meters. If that is too loud for the audience then turn down your amplifiers or the input gain on your speakers.

What you are recording is a live mix before mastering. All commercial audio material has gone through a mastering process which cleans up an modifies the mix to make it sound "fuller". Your live recording will need mastering to match up.

I had this problem also at first but it is all what you send in! Record signal must be loud to get a clean normal audio signage. Turn you monitors down and sent in to the board at a higher level
audio input. Harder to do live but takes control of the whole group volume. I sub mix through
another board the drums to get a better recording master level.
