If anyone could comment on this, it would be greatly appreciated. I was in the market for a compact mixer to use in a live setting and also for a home project studio, and I ended buying the Studio Live Classic 16.0.2 at a great price point. I had some trepidation because this is old technology that uses a Firewire interface which means I will have to find a laptop that has a Firewire interface, but I'd rather not pay Apple's prices. This is literally an impossible task for a PC-based system.
I bought the 16.2 through Guitar Center which gives me 45 days to take it back. The AR16 came out, and I'm wondering if it would be best take the 16.2 back and get the AR. I know the 16.0.2 has much more features, but the AR16 is simpler and most importantly runs off of a USB port. Can anyone comment on what direction they would take if they were in my shoes? Thanks, Mike |
