Discuss the new PreSonus CS18Ai

Good morning gentlemen.
I wonder if Studiolive CS18AI has the same functionality as Faderport8, that when the Link button is enabled the Pan / Param encoder will control any parameter below the mouse, or if you have other functionality similar to that. Many plugins have multiple controls so you can not control all of them except with this wildcard feature. I have both equipment. Thank you. |

As the CS18AI is designed to work with the RM rack mixers OR Studio One AND both in DAW mode, there will be compromises on all sides. It's not the perfect machine for a single application. The CS18AI is nice for Studio One, but it's probably best as controller for the rack mixers (single or cascaded). At least, is it possible to have the CS18AI and the Faderport8 controlling at the same time, because from there one supplies the lack of appeal of the other. Hugs. |
