I just ordered a Presonus StudioLive 32SC Digital Mixer for live sound.
I also have a Studio 192 connected to a PC running Studio One 4 for my home studio.

I'm the recording engineer for my band. Recording directly into the mixer in my home studio would probably be more convenient than controlling the PC from my Ipad, as I've been doing. ( I need to play guitar and engineer at the same time)

Would there be a difference in sound quality using the Studi Live to record vs, using the Studio 192 into my PC?

My thought is to record using the StudioLive and then mixing on my PC using Studio One 4
Thanks

the 192 will give you other sample rate options. Other than that, I can't tell the difference in something recorded at 44.1 on either device.

I mainly use the mixer as daw control and also a soundcard. The 192 is used as a location rig, and also if I get mixing sessions at higher sample rates.

Thanks Matt
I will probably use the board for rehearsal song demo recordings and maybe live.
I will use my Studio 192 and DP88 for real deal attempts at comercial quality recordings.
Your input is appreciated

If you don't need the cash from selling the 192, keep it. You will find it useful down the road
