I'm pretty interested in the 192 26/32 as my 10 yr old Alesis I/O 26 is getting senile, but BOY is it clean when working, and very usable features as well (virtually the same as the 192, except for $375). But here's my big question, in all my naivete. PreSonus Sales Support told me that the UT Remote s'ware has no connection to either my Fader Port, OR the 192, although, any DAW will communicate with both. Is NOT this s'ware used to communicate with the Studio Live boards? Again, pardon my ignorance.

Universal Control is the driver and firmware for the 192, as well as other Presonus interfaces and mixers, and installs on the PC/Mac you are using.
UC Surface, is the Android/Ipad app for remote control of the mixers. UC Surface does not work for the 192. You can control the 192 mixes and HP outputs from either Studio One natively, or if you use another daw, you can use the Universal Control app on the computer to control the 192. |
