Why if I want to have outputs on spidif they are not available on I/O if sample rate is more than 96Khz?

I can check, but not until later this evening. To my knowledge, the only thing lost when using higher sample rates is Fat Channel processing.
What DAW are you using, and where are you managing the outputs? What version of Universal Control are you using? |
Thank Matt,
using last studio one and last UC 2.0 they give me 8 in and 14 outs the two main outs the 8 lines outs and the 4 phones out. If I set the sample frequency between 44.1 and 96Khz in th UC I have 18 in and 24 outs and Spidif is visible in I/O settings of studio one. I know that studio 192 can handle only 8 channels at the two higher SR but I think there is a bug concerning the Spidif out. I need this because I can have two more high quality phones out using a Chord Mojo portable dac/headphone amplifier. |
I don't think so. The reason that features and capabilities drop off at higher sample rates, is to preserve processing power. If they did add it, something else would have to go away.
